The Chaparral Association of Parent and Educators for Students (CAPES) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the philosophy, programs, and activities of Chaparral Elementary for the benefit of Chaparral students, facilitate communication, encourage and coordinate volunteerism, and foster a spirit of inclusion, partnership, and cooperation among the entire school community.

CAPES was born from the joint efforts of Chaparral PTA and CEF leadership in 2019. CAPES amended the CEF Organization Name and articles of Incorporation and Name in order to take ownership of the original 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt organization, incorporated in 1992.

CAPES is governed by a volunteer board of concerned parents, faculty and community members who believe in that providing students with an enhanced educational
experience is the best way to prepare our children for meeting future challenges.
